Ich muss zugeben, dass ich die ganze Zeit schon sehr gespannt auf die Berichterstattung der regionalen Tageszeitung über die Demonstration vor der Heidelberg Cement Zentrale war. Der abgedruckte Artikel enttäuscht mich, die ersten 3 Sätze berichten von der Demo, der restliche Artikel beschönigt das alltägliche Geschäftsgebaren von Heidelberg Cement. Ich selbst war Teil der Demonstrierenden und möchte meine Sicht mitteilen.
Soweit ich weiß, stand es nicht auf der Tagesordnung der Hauptversammlung über Klimaschutz zu reden. Dies war ein Grund für die Demonstration, denn es ist wichtig, dass im Jahre 2020 endlich mal über Klimagerechtigkeit geredet wird. Falls die Aussage stimmt, dass es “wie draußen vor der Tür auch drinnen um den CO2-Ausstoß des Konzerns und Menschenrechte” geht, sehe ich da schon mal Erfolg, denn zumindest wurde es erwähnt. Wobei ich diese Aussage auch kritisch hinterfragen muss, wurde nur darüber geredet oder gibt es auch Ziele und Beschlüsse?
Es wird betont, dass sich der Konzern in allen Ländern, in denen er tätig ist, an Rechtsnormen und ethische Standards hält und Rendite nicht über alles stellt.
Die Realität sieht aber so aus, dass diese Rechtsnormen und Standards eben oftmals nicht ausreichend für Umwelt und die dort lebenden Menschen sind.
Auch das Ziel bis 2050 klimaneutralen Beton anbieten zu wollen, erscheint “Kritiker*innen”, richtig erfasst, nicht ambitioniert genug. Bis 2050 sind es noch weitere 30 Jahre! Natürlich kann nicht alles morgen schon erreicht sein, aber ein bisschen ernster darf das Thema schon genommen werden. Im Pariser Abkommen wurde ein Klimaziel von 1,5 Grad beschlossen, dieses kann keinen falls erreicht werden, wenn Firmen wie Heidelberg Cement so weiter machen und erst 2050 klimaneutral werden wollen.
Wir, die Jugend, alle Menschen, die sorgenvoll in die Zukunft schauen, haben Angst, Angst vor weiteren, noch drastischeren Folgen des Klimawandels, der jetzt schon dramatische Ausmaße annimmt und viele Krisen anrichtet. Das war der Grund warum wir da waren und um auf die Problematik aufmerksam zu machen. Können Sie nun meine Enttäuschung über Ihre Berichterstattung nachvollziehen?
